I grew up in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in International Studies and Spanish. I love having fun with kids and when I am not helping out at the lab, I work as a preschool teacher and as a nanny. In the future I plan to pursue a career in bilingual education. I love art, playing soccer, hiking, eating delicious food, and being in Oregon.

I am a Senior at the University of Oregon double majoring in Psychology and Spanish, with specific interests in child development and behavior. I love working at the Brain Development Lab as a bilingual behavioral tester because I work with young children and it involves both of my majors! In the future I would love a career that involves working with less fortunate children around the world and helping make their lives better. I recently studied abroad in Spain and plan on continuing my travels to Spanish speaking countries after graduating. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, and cooking new foods.

I am a senior at the University of Oregon, and I am double majoring in Psychology and Spanish. I have had the pleasure of working as a bilingual behavioral tester for two years at the Brain Development Lab. In the near future, I hope to pursue a career where I can provide assessment and intervention services for children with developmental delays and disabilities. Outside of the lab, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and watching Netflix with my cat, Ezra.

Ademas de mi trabajo, me encanta cocinar, el alpinismo  y mirar Netflix con mi gato, Ezra.

I’m a senior at the University of Oregon majoring in psychology.  I am interested in clinical psychology, and using translational neuroscience approaches to understanding the neuropsychology of trauma and posttraumatic sequelae.  I have experience in running and developing study paradigms including scales and measures, literature review, procedural analysis, structured stimulus/response behavioral evaluation, and coding.  My future plans involve getting accepted to a clinical psychology program with a focus track in neuropsychology. I hope to then apply translational neuroscience techniques to understanding and treating combat induced PTSD in veterans, a goal which is driven by my own experiences as an eleven year veteran of the United States Air Force.

A senior and double major in Psychology and Spanish, I’m here to focus my thesis on comparing bilinguals and monolinguals’ selective attention abilities by analyzing EEG data. Still unsure of my plans of the future, I am considering pursuing a law degree or teaching abroad. For now, happy to be learning new things and different aspects of psychology in the lab.

I am a General Science major with career interests in medicine and education. My research interests include the bilingual advantage hypothesis and cultural/social effects on executive function. In the lab I work on the ERP team collecting EEG data. That primarily consists of convincing kiddos to put on an EEG cap and doing my best to collect quality data.
