Our talented team of research assistants contributes to many aspects of our research — from assisting families during their appointments, to data collection, processing, and analysis.
I grew up in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in International Studies and Spanish. I love having fun with kids and when I am not helping out at the lab, I work as a preschool teacher and as a nanny. In the future I plan to pursue a career in bilingual education. I love art, playing soccer, hiking, eating delicious food, and being in Oregon.
I am a Senior at the University of Oregon double majoring in Psychology and Spanish, with specific interests in child development and behavior. I love working at the Brain Development Lab as a bilingual behavioral tester because I work with young children and it involves both of my majors! In the future I would love a career that involves working with less fortunate children around the world and helping make their lives better. I recently studied abroad in Spain and plan on continuing my travels to Spanish speaking countries after graduating. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, and cooking new foods.
I am a research assistant that primarily assists in collecting and processing EEG data. My primary research interests include cognition and early childhood development. I am a Psychology and Biological Anthropology major with specific interests in behavioral genetics, efficacy of mindfulness-based psychological interventions, and assessment psychology. In the lab, I am primarily working to collect executive function data with the children in the program. I plan to pursue a PhD in the future but for now, I am happy to be helping out in the lab.
I’m a senior at the University of Oregon majoring in psychology. I am interested in clinical psychology, and using translational neuroscience approaches to understanding the neuropsychology of trauma and posttraumatic sequelae. I have experience in running and developing study paradigms including scales and measures, literature review, procedural analysis, structured stimulus/response behavioral evaluation, and coding. My future plans involve getting accepted to a clinical psychology program with a focus track in neuropsychology. I hope to then apply translational neuroscience techniques to understanding and treating combat induced PTSD in veterans, a goal which is driven by my own experiences as an eleven year veteran of the United States Air Force.

A senior and double major in Psychology and Spanish, I’m here to focus my thesis on comparing bilinguals and monolinguals’ selective attention abilities by analyzing EEG data. Still unsure of my plans of the future, I am considering pursuing a law degree or teaching abroad. For now, happy to be learning new things and different aspects of psychology in the lab.
I’m a psychology graduate of University of California, Davis with minors in Philosophy and Political Science. I have interests in mindfulness research and neurophysiology with a specific interest in the impact of mindfulness training in primary education. I plan to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience to investigate this question further. I also love hiking with my dogs and snowboarding.

I have experience with video coding in the lab but have also done smaller tasks as needed. I plan to continue my education by pursuing a Psy.D. in clinical psychology with a focus in sports. My aspirations for the future include becoming a sports psychologist and traveling the world.
